  • Doug Howard - PT, MPT

    Doug received his Masters in Physical Therapy at Midwestern University in 2000. Since receiving his masters, Doug has continued enhancing his expertise with extensive training in orthopedic injuries, functional biomechanics, and contemporary concepts in sports medicine. Doug’s exceptional skill in manual therapy and rehabilitative exercise is instrumental in the successful rehabilitation of all his patients. Doug’s genuine desire to help people lead healthier, pain-free lives extends outside his clinical career. In 1988, Doug founded and directed a community fitness & wellness event featuring a 10K run and youth fitness activities. Doug also developed a fundraising campaign to benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation in 2001 and 2002. The fundraiser provided grants and funding to disabled children and adults in order for them to pursue athletic endeavors.

  • David Elsasser - PT, DPT

    David was born and raised in Nebraska and he graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology 2001 and then went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2004. David is committed to a team approach and communication so patients achieve optimum results. He has worked with a diverse population of patients ranging from pediatric to senior citizens. David’s experience successfully treating a variety of outpatient orthopedic injuries has given him a strong knowledge-base in functional anatomy and a thorough application for patient care. On a personal note, David is a sports fan! Specifically-Nebraska Football and Kansas Basketball. He likes to play golf, flag football, softball, soccer and basketball.

    Renee Schaefer - PT

    Renee Schaefer is a Wisconsin native who has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 5 years.  She has a strong background in various clinical settings including acute and inpatient post-surgical, outpatient orthopedics, as well as providing coverage for multiple athletic events in Wisconsin and Arizona.  She completed her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse.  She relocated to Arizona in early 2010.  She is currently enrolled in courses with IAOM-US, working towards a future COMT certification.  Renee is committed to working together with her patients to build effective rehabilitation programs with emphasis on manual techniques and exercise, strategically designed to address each patient's specific abilities and goals. A former cross-country athlete, Renee also spends time practicing yoga, hiking and volunteering at community athletic/charity events in the valley.

    Stacey Scherzer - PT, MPT, COMT

    Stacey was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  She began her undergraduate degree at University of Missouri - Columbia (MIZZOU). Her sophomore year, Stacey transferred to Maryville Univerisity in St. Louis where she entered into an accelerated 5-year Master's Degree program in Physical Therapy.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Health Sciences as well as a Masters in Physical Therapy.  Throughout her schooling Stacey worked as a PT technician gaining knowledge and experience in her field. She moved to Phoenix following graduation in 2007.  Stacey later continued her education in manual therapy by completing the Ola Grimsby Institute's Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT). Her experience is primarily in out-patient orthopedics treating a wide variety of diagnoses. She loves helping patients get back to the activities that are most important to them. On a personal note, Stacey is a sports fan. While her favorite teams are St. Louis based, she also roots for the Arizona home teams!
