Julie is originally from Iowa and received her B.S. with distinction in 1990 from Iowa State University. She went on to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 1993. In addition she has a specialty in hand therapy and passed the CHT exam in 2000.
Julie moved to Phoenix after graduation and has been in practice for over 14 years. She has valuable experience from working in a variety of settings including outpatient rehabilitation and spinal cord injury, outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
Julie has dedicated the last 5 years in a hand and upper extremity clinic specializing in nerve and tendon lacerations, fractures, brachial plexus injuries, and trauma injuries where she worked closely with many of the top hand surgeons in Phoenix.
Julie is passionate about being a physical therapist and loves helping people of all ages and abilities attain their rehabilitation goals through a personable, hands-on approach to therapy.
Julie is married and has 2 kids and 1 dog. She loves to run! Through that passion, Julie developed an injury prevention program and database for marathon runners and triathletes.
