 Allen Gruver, PT, ATC, PRC, CSCS Physical Therapist Gilbert-queen Creek Allen is an orthopedic trained physical therapist with specialization in spine/sport rehabilitation and athletic performance enhancement.
Allen obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa with distinction, becoming a certified athletic trainer in 2000. He continued his post-graduate education at Elon University in North Carolina earning his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and being honored with the “Excellence in Clinical Research Award.”
In 2006, Allen became a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and also earned his certification from the Postural Restoration Institute becoming 1 of 23 certified therapists in the country and Arizona’s first and only certified clinician.
Allen has extensive experience lecturing to hundreds of physicians and other health care professionals across the country on in-depth biomechanical assessment and advanced treatments utilizing the PRI methodology for common musculoskeletal pathologies and dysfunctions. Allen has contributed to several academic journals and has presented poster presentations at state and national conventions.
Allen is currently the director of Foothills Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation-Gilbert and is a physical therapy/biomechanical consultant for The Unviersity of Arizona, Arizona Diamondbacks, Denver Broncos and several NCAA athletes, Olympic swimmers, MLB professionals and LPGA/Nationwide tour professionals. Allen is a devoted husband and father and enjoys playing golf, hiking and biking during his free time.
