 Richard Kates, MHM, ATC/L, CSCS, EMT FAST Manager

Richard was born and raised in Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State in 1999 with a BS in Exercise Science and Physical Education with emphases in Exercise and Wellness and Sports Medicine. He recently completed his Masters in Human Movement from Arizona School of Health Science/ A.T. Still. Richard is a Licensed Athletic Trainer, he holds credentialing with the NSCA-CSCS and he has been an EMT since 1995.
Before joining Foothills Sports Medicine, Richard worked as the Head Athletic Trainer at Chaparral High School from 2001 to 2006 and Desert Mountain High School from 2006 to 2009. He has worked with athletes from the ages of 6 to 89.
